Logic

Some of you haven't a clue as to what Logic is and more than some of you see no significance in its attachment to gambling.
They think I am trying to overwhelm them with words that have important meanings. Well, you're dead wrong on both counts.

Logic is the second part of the Little 3 for a big reason. Anything to do with gambling has a logical explanation.
In Blackjack when you are dealt a 10/6 vs. the dealer's up card of a Queen, you must hit because the answer has a logical explanation.

If you stand with that 16 vs. the dealer's ten value card, in this case a Queen, he will now turn over his hole card. There are 13 cards that it could be (Ace, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2). If the card is an Ace, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, or 7 the dealer will have 17 or better and beat your 16.

He will then draw to the 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 and on one out of five times will get 17 or better, there by beating you 9 out of 13 times.

So the logical move would be to hit your 16, even though you are in trouble either way. But less trouble if you hit rather than stand and get smacked in the gut 9 out of 13 times.
But nobody ever accused gamblers of being logical.

Their approach to gambling is one of praying, hoping, going by hunches and carrying good luck charms. What a bunch of garbage.

Think for a second what your chances are of picking the winner of a game between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. Seattle is on the road getting 6 points. It's a 50 50 proposition because the points for road team make it so.

The same is true for any sports event. You've got a 50 50 chance of picking the winner.
Listen to why some dork like Buck D. Trend explains why he is going to pick the Broncos to win: “because they've lost 6 games in row and their due to win.”

I ask him if he realizes he is bucking the Trend of a team that is in a losing streak and he retorts, "yeah, but they can't lose forever, they're due to win someday.”

So this mental midget bets on the team that has lost 6 in a row because of an illogical feeling that something is supposed to happen because the opposite has dominated over a period of time.

That is a stupid illogical reason to risk your money on. If you are torn between picking that game, pass on it.

You're not going to win every time, but bucking trend like Buck D. Trend likes to do, does not make sense.

I want you to approach gambling with a Logical reason for risking your money on a certain game. Then
