Have you ever made a bet on an NFL game? If so, how did you base your decision on which team to bet on? Many people make the mistake of concentrating too much on the line and not enough on the teams who are actually playing.
Bet on NFL Teams, Not the LineThe first thing you should do if you are going to bet on an NFL game is look at the teams who are playing. What are the team’s records? Are there any injuries? Which team is playing at home? All of these questions will help you to make a decision on which team to bet on based on the team, not on the line. This is not to say that the line is not important, but if you pay too much attention to it you may end up losing focus as to what you are doing. For example, one team is getting 17 points and you think that this is a pretty safe bet based on the odds alone; and it very well may be. But think about what you could be missing out on. Maybe the underdog has two star players out with injuries, and they are playing away from home. Does this change how you feel about getting 17 points? Just make sure that you look at the teams who are playing before you get too caught up with the odds on the game.
